Mission Statement
The mission of the Gadsden City Schools is to provide each student with an equitable, quality
education through an adaptive, innovative, nurturing, and holistic approach.
The mission of the Gadsden City Schools library media programs is to support the school
curriculum, to improve student learning and student achievement. The library media program will
provide real and virtual access to appropriate digital tools, high-quality resources, and services. In
collaboration with the classroom teachers, the library media specialist will support curriculum
development and design of learning activities.
Vision
The vision of Gadsden City Schools library programs is to provide access to up-to-date quality
collections and technologies in collaboration with the school’s learning community and to extend
learning services beyond the school library and the school day.
